As some of you have noticed and indeed submitted support tickets for the “Breaking News Ticker” app on your website home page that is not working. Here is the reason.

A functionality supplied by Yahoo is used in the application to extract the news “title” and “URL” that gets plugged into the news feed.

As per official information by the Yahoo Developer Network, the company pulled the plug for both these services on January 03. The announcement in this regard was made on December 31.

The only solution, for now, is to edit your website home page and disabled the “Breaking News” feature.

We are looking for a way around this problem and will hopefully release an upgrade in the near future to fix this issue.
